The Design Engineer is usually involved in the front end design, typically taking the leadership role in the Schematic Design and Design Development, and then a monitoring role through the CD and CA phases.

The main contractor is the supervisory contractor of all construction work on a project, management of sub-contractors and vendors, etc. May be referred to as "Construction Manager," however, for consistency CTBUH uses the term "Main Contractor" exclusively.
Other Consultant refers to other organizations which provided significant consultation services for a building project (e.g. wind consultants, environmental consultants, fire and life safety consultants, etc).
According to Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, this slender tower, elliptical in plan, is the symbolic center of a master-planned residential community currently under development on a hillside site overlooking the Tan Shui River, 20 km northwest of central Taipei. Oriented on a view axis that extends across the river toward the revered mountain of Kwan Yin, the tower’s clear and simple form serves as a focal point for the surrounding area. The Ellipse’s short southwest-northeast axis, through the building's broad face, is oriented toward Kwan Yin, while the long northwest-southeast axis overlooks downtown Taipei.
The expression of the façade is functional and direct: deeply recessed windows bound by continuous terraces edged with sunshades. While the elliptical form is a contemporary blueprint, the multi-story façade of sheltering roof-forms is evocative of traditional Taiwanese architecture. Each soffit panel, canted upward from the window line to capture the ambient light of the surrounding site, is warped in plane to mediate between the geometries of window line and balcony edge.
