The year 2019 was remarkable for the tall building industry, with 26 supertall buildings (300 meters or taller) completed, the most in any year. This...
The second phase within the Residences at Marina Gate complex, Marina Gate II is the tallest building within a trio of towers standing beside the Dubai Marina waterfront. The three towers are connected through a terraced, multi-level podium featuring villas, recreational amenities and over 135,000 square meters of retail space aligned to The Marina Walk, a pedestrian promenade encircling the extensive man-made waterway passing through the center of the namesake high-rise district.
The three reinforced concrete towers feature floor slab edges extending beyond glass curtain wall facades to form a series of large balconies, accented by vertical and horizontal fins enhancing the visual texture of the building exteriors. Each of the three towers stand more than 200 meters above the east end of the waterway and are joined by multiple nearby supertall buildings, which collectively form the tallest node within the Marina district’s skyline.
