The Design Engineer is usually involved in the front end design, typically taking the leadership role in the Schematic Design and Design Development, and then a monitoring role through the CD and CA phases.
The main contractor is the supervisory contractor of all construction work on a project, management of sub-contractors and vendors, etc. May be referred to as "Construction Manager," however, for consistency CTBUH uses the term "Main Contractor" exclusively.

The CTBUH lists a project manager when a specific firm has been commissioned to oversee this aspect of a tall building’s design/construction. When the project management efforts are handled by the developer, main contract, or architect, this field will be omitted.

Other Consultant refers to other organizations which provided significant consultation services for a building project (e.g. wind consultants, environmental consultants, fire and life safety consultants, etc).
Located in Chicago’s rapidly growing Central Station development, the tower is one of the tallest all-residential building in the USA. The tower’s façade, which steps back five times, features a fully curved curtain wall, with no 90-degree angles. The façade also has granite and metal panel elements at the bottom of the building.
Chicago’s temperamental weather lead the project team to re-engineer the top of the building after construction had commenced. This allowed for the tower to be enclosed quicker, thus significantly offsetting weather delays. The project also employed a phased occupancy which allowed residents to move into the lower floors while construction continued above.
One Museum Park East incorporated multiple sustainable strategies during construction, including the diversion of 78% of waste from landfills. Through Bovis Lend Lease’s Green Power Partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, the project was able to utilize green power during construction. Residents are also able to enjoy green space through the common outdoor garden terrace.
