As implied within the name, the The Arc at Gate Towers rises from a podium base as an arc, which together with the Gate Towers was modelled to resemble prominent historic structures such as England’s Stonehenge or Greece’s Pantheon to create a notable gateway into the Shams Neighborhood on Al Reem Island. The concave curve of the rental apartment building’s arc form faces southeast, overlooking a landscaped amenity deck atop the podium base. This podium is shared with the Gate Towers and is linked directly via a second floor skybridge to the Boutik Mall, located across the street and within the lower floors of the Sky and Sun Towers.
At various points within the building’s form, voids of differing sizes pass through multiple floors of the structure, which combined with recessed balconies compliments the sleek glass façade with visual texture, while also providing for shaded outdoor spaces enjoyed by the building’s residents.
