The CTBUH lists a project manager when a specific firm has been commissioned to oversee this aspect of a tall building’s design/construction. When the project management efforts are handled by the developer, main contract, or architect, this field will be omitted.
The main contractor is the supervisory contractor of all construction work on a project, management of sub-contractors and vendors, etc. May be referred to as "Construction Manager," however, for consistency CTBUH uses the term "Main Contractor" exclusively.
On the outskirts of Nijmegen in the Hatert area of the city, the availability of modern and convenient housing is somewhat scarce. The city is working on a new master plan to renovate existing residential buildings as well as infill open areas with new buildings to provide new opportunities for its citizens. As part of this plan, White Rose was built as a new and iconic addition to the neighborhood.
The contemporary building was designed to be the “crown” of the district of Hatert, with references to plant life through the wood materiality and leaf perforation in the terrace railings. The sculptural quality of the changing terraces creates a unique outline for the building, supported by hidden steel cantilevers.
The street level of the site was developed to include a large public deck for events and gathering. The ground floor of the building is a community health center as well, providing a new amenity to the community.
