Usually involved in the front end design, with a "typical" condition being that of a leadership role through either Schematic Design or Design Development, and then a monitoring role through the CD and CA phases.
The Design Engineer is usually involved in the front end design, typically taking the leadership role in the Schematic Design and Design Development, and then a monitoring role through the CD and CA phases.
Other Consultant refers to other organizations which provided significant consultation services for a building project (e.g. wind consultants, environmental consultants, fire and life safety consultants, etc).
These are firms that consult on the design of a building's façade. May often be referred to as "Cladding," "Envelope," "Exterior Wall," or "Curtain Wall" Consultant, however, for consistency CTBUH uses the term "Façade Consultant" exclusively.

Two elliptical glass towers comprise Moana Pacific, a condominium complex in the heart of Honolulu which stands out in the neighboring residential and light-industrial skyline. A large proportion of the 6-acre site is devoted to on-grade open landscaping and a 2-acre, green, sixth floor recreation deck. This recreation deck includes a swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts, putting green, jogging tracks and other amenities.
The façades consist of 1.2 meter (4ft) wide, double-pane, insulated glass which minimize heat and glare; the natural curvature of the elliptical buildings reflect much of the incident sun. The east–west orientation of the buildings also help to reduce the heat load.
The adjacent parking structure incorporates an interesting cladding solution, with a custom-designed grill made up of “Y” sections which provides 51% openings for natural ventilation while maintaining a close to 100% view blockage from any angle. This eliminates the external visual impact of unsightly fluorescent car park lighting at night, or view of the parked cars during the day.
